Data Integration Developers
Job Description:
Assist in the development and design of processes for the company’s pricing solution products. Gather, maintain, and share knowledge about data artifacts. Design and build processes for data ingestion and transformation to support the data needs of the company’s growing set of proprietary pricing solutions, as well as the use and refinement of the company’s pricing portal. Research, document, and develop third party and client integrations across a variety of markets and applications. Work closely with application development staff, economists, project managers, sales staff, partners, and customers. Design, develop, and modify custom integrations for transforming client data. Determine requirements and establish data integration specifications by studying available data sources, conferring with economists, and identifying the relationships among data sets. Develop procedures for validating data ingestion routines. Identify and resolve data integrity issues. Transfer knowledge of data sources, integration processes, techniques, and issues to application and support teams. Conduct appropriate functional and performance testing to identify data quality issues. Answer technical and procedural questions and communicate data findings with technical and non-technical resources. Maintain legacy systems and follow the advancement of new technology. Provide input for data management standards, standard operating procedures, and product improvements.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely-related field.
- 2 years of experience supporting software system integrations.
- Other education or experience must include:
- Java.
- Development and support of system integrations through Windows and Linux environments.
- Application of software modules, packages, and applications to create new tools and processes for automation.
- Incorporation of new software languages and new technologies into current and future business applications.
- Use of data analysis and manipulation tools for investigation, validation, and visualization of data from a variety of sources.
- Collaboration with data providers and internal stakeholders to design inbound and outbound data interfaces.
- Creation and distribution of configurable and reusable software solutions to transform data.
- Documentation of structured and unstructured data sources and data transformations.
- Extraction of data from and writing data to relational databases including MySQL and document-oriented databases including MongoDB.
- Use of version control tools including GitHub.
- Creation of ad-hoc reports.
